Project Update
The Estes Drive design will be modified to eliminate improvements along the northern portion from MLK, Jr. Blvd. to Somerset Dr. due to future development along the road frontage. The developer for that area will be responsible for completing future roadway improvements. A supplemental agreement for Stewart to incorporate these design changes, along with some stormwater revisions, has been submitted to the Town and will need to be approved by NCDOT. The team continues to make progress on utility negotiations and right-of-way acquisition.
